Glenda Kubenetz

Glenda Jo Johnson Kubenetz, 59, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her home. Mrs. Kubenetz was born March 29, 1954 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Joe Johnson and Mildred Feimster Johnson. She was a graduate of Iredell County schools and on June 20. 1992 she married James Steven Kubenetz, who survives. Mrs. Kubenetz was a member of Hebron Baptist Church and she was employed with Life Span where she worked with special needs adults and children. Glenda was known by her friends and family for her warmth, caring, and compassion. She was active in her church and community. Her smart and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kubenetz is survived by one son, Joe Kubenetz (Bailey Owens) of Smithfield, NC; soon to be grandson, Jaden Kubenetz; one sister, Louise J. Shoemaker of Statesville, and two nieces, Sarah Shoemaker and Wendy Vance, both of Statesville. A private family service will be held at a later date.
