Gerald Joshua Ward, age 54, Lexington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Born on August 17, 1968, in Davidson County, NC, he was the son of the late RC Long and Nancy Bice.
Gerald had a passion for model cars and was a talented mechanic.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving companion of seven years, Vida Hicks; his sisters, Alicia Love, Angela McGlothlin, and Michelle Shelton; his brothers, Cody Long, Jesse Long, Mitchell Dockery, and Raymond Shelton; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, RC Long and Nancy Bice; and his sister, Paula Warren.
At the request of the family, no services will be held.
