Franklin Dean Mashburn, affectionately known as Frankie, passed away on December 10, 2024, in his cherished hometown of Guilford County, North Carolina. Born on April 10, 1967, Frankie lived a full and devoted 57 years, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever be remembered by those who knew him.
Frankie was a man whose heart resonated with the rhythm of life in North Carolina. A dedicated worker, he spent over five years as a Floor Technician at Gray Brier Nursing Home in Archdale, where he was known for his diligence and kind spirit. Prior to that, he traversed the highways as a long-distance truck driver, embracing the freedom of the open road while providing for his family.
A passionate enthusiast of sports, Frankie held the Carolina Panthers close to his heart and relished in the excitement of wrestling. His love for gospel music was a testament to his deep faith and his joy in his salvation. As a committed member of God's House of Prayer, he found solace and community in his spiritual journey.
Frankie was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ulysses Cornelius Mashburn and Judy Ann Mashburn, who welcomed him into heaven with open arms. He is survived by his devoted spouse of eight years, Francina Mashburn, who stood by his side in love and partnership. His legacy lives on through his children: son Joshua Mashburn, daughters Ashley Mashburn (Dylan), Amber Mashburn, and Alyssa Mashburn, who will continue to honor his memory. He was the proud grandfather of Aliyah, Zayden (Blaze), Colton, and Norah, whose presence brought him immense joy.
Frankie's sisters, Tina Sha Herring (Eldred Jr.) and Renee Hogue (Gary), along with numerous nieces and nephews, mourn his passing but celebrate the life of a man who embodied kindness and faith.
A Celebration of Life service officiated by Ronnie Everhart will be held on Saturday, December 14th, at 2:00 PM at God's House of Prayer, located at 2606 Bedford Street, High Point, NC 27263. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and thanksgiving for Frankie's life. Flowers are welcome at the church, as they were a symbol of the beauty and vibrancy that Frankie brought into the world.
Franklin Dean Mashburn will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
