Evelyn Louise (White) Givens

Mrs. Evelyn Louise White Givens, 87, of Statesville, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on May 12, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Claire White. On July 31, 1954, she married Mr. Marvie Givens who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Burrell White and Earl White and a sister, Bessie White Wyatt.
Evelyn was a member of Landmark Church of God and enjoyed reading, time with her grandchildren and gardening and flowers.
Survivors include a son, Barry Gibson Givens (Sissy), a grandson, Shawn Givens (Ashley), a granddaughter, Taylor Givens and a great granddaughter, Addison Givens. Also surviving is a brother, Robert White (Shirley).
Services celebrating Evelyn’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2018 at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Stephens officiating. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
