Eva Lee (York) Moore

Eva Lee Moore, 94, of Statesville, went to be with the Lord April 8, 2017.  She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Moore Waugh and husband Donald; granddaughter, Susan Waugh Branch (Scott) of Statesville; grandson David Waugh (Dana) of Jefferson City, TN; great grandsons, Justin Lee Branch and Ethan Scott Branch; and sister-in-law, Anna Moore Rhyne.  She was proceeded in death by her husband of 63 years, Clint Sloan Moore; her mother, Sarah Leckie York Wooten; and father Samuel York. Eva Lee was born November 21, 1922 in Iredell county.  She graduated from Cool Spring High School and retired after 32 years of service from the local Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service (ASCS) office.  She was a lifetime member of Providence United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed cross-stitching, word search puzzles, and reading.  She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and craft projects.  She will be remembered for her love of her family, friends, community, church, and her Savior, Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends at Nicholson Funeral Home Monday from 3:00 until 4:00 pm and a graveside service will follow at Providence United Methodist Church at 4:30 pm.
