Ellen Copeland Fox, went home to be with her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born in Red Sulphur Springs, WV and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Davis and Opal Ruth Burks Copeland. Ellen was of the Baptist Faith and loved being a servant of God. Before her health declined, she was always helping others, taking meals and taking care of the sick. She was the perfect example of a servant. Left to cherish her memory are her three precious children, Rhonda Fox Wooten (Mike), Jonna Fox Richards (Michael) and Kenny Fox all of Statesville, NC; her four amazing grandchildren, Emilee Wooten, Trevor Wooten, Jordan Richards and Raegan Richards. She is also survived by two brothers, Eddie Copeland (Teresa) of Claremont, NC, Jerry Copeland (Cathy), two sisters, her twin Helen Copeland Marshall (David) of Statesville and Karen Copeland of Ballard, WV along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Jeff Copeland, Danny Copeland and Herbie Copeland. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Dave Abberger and Rev. Pete Dunford officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home and at other times will gather at the residence of her sister, Helen Marshall, 146 Pinkney Lane, Statesville, NC. Ellen was always smiling, always helpful and always loving. Her presence here on earth will be missed and felt for a long time because of her love for others. We are heartbroken but rejoice knowing she had been reunited with her parents, brothers, friends and loved ones. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Ellen C. Fox.
