Elisa Bennett

Elisa Shuford Bennett, 54, of Salisbury passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 04, 2012 at her home. � Born September 05, 1957 in Spartanburg, SC., she was the daughter of the late Ralph (Bummer) Shuford and Gayle Corthan Shuford. She graduated from Mitchell Community College's Nursing Program and spent many years as a Registered Nurse. For 18 years, she worked in the emergency room at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Her last job was with the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury NC where she loved working with the veterans. Survivors include her son's Robert D. Bennett II of Charlotte, NC, Nicholas H. Bennett, of Salisbury, NC, and her daughter Hope I. Bennett of Spencer, NC. Two brothers, Christopher Shuford and Timothy Shuford both of Statesville, NC also survive. There will be a visitation and a time of sharing Saturday night, 7:00 until 9:00 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home.
