Dorothy Virginia (Moore) Crowson

Dorothy Virginia Moore Crowson, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born June 13, 1919 in Statesville, NC as one of 14 children to the late Lon F. Moore and Laura Cascadon Moore. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and Mitchell College. She worked for Mitchell College and enjoyed dancing, bridge and gardening. Mrs. Crowson is survived by one daughter, Laura Kaye Crowson of Statesville and one son, William B. Crowson, Jr. of Union Grove. A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House and Oakland Presbyterian Church. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Dorothy Crowson.
