Dorothy Mae Queen Galliher, 89, of Harmony, died Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes County on August 19, 1930 to the late Donald Queen and Lugennie Ball Queen. She was also preceded in death by a daughter; Patricia Myers and eight siblings.
Dorothy was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, the V-Point Ruritan Club and was retired from JP Stevens. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and assisting her friend Mary Lois in delivery of meals on wheels.
Survivors include, 2 daughters; Rebecca Hicks (Donald), Fran Kirby (Lynn) both of Harmony, 2 sons; Doug Galliher of Harmony, Gregg Galliher (Amy) of Statesville, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and her fur baby, Morkie.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Bethel UMC with Rev. Lynn Lepley officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
