Doris Little

Doris Rebecca Little, age 78 of Statesville, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Little was born on July 17, 1932 in Iredell county to the late Samuel Jackson and Ada Shoemaker Woods. She was married to Wayne B. Little who preceded her in death. Mrs. Little is survived by one son, Blaine (Pete) Little of Statesville, four daughters, Belinda White and Cindy Little both of Statesville, Cynthia Whitman of Troutman and Teresa Warren of Stony Point. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Stephanie White, Kayla White and Crystal Neal, two great-grandchildren, Cody Warren and Justice Neal. Mrs. Little is also survived by one brother Roy Woods and two sisters, Coleen Brewer and Hazel Woods all of Statesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Doris R. Little will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Horton officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:30pm Tuesday evening January 18, 2011 at Nicholson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Community Church, 334 North Oakdale Avenue, Statesville, NC 28625. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Doris Rebecca Woods little.
