Dora Jean (Devor) Dunlap

Dora Jean Devor Dunlap, 90, of Statesville, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 at Autumn Care of Statesville.  She was born in Ashland, Ohio on November 14, 1924 t the late Clyde Roscoe and Delcie Wagner Devor. Mrs. Dunlap was a graduate of Ashland High School in Ashland, Ohio and had served as the class historian for years.  She was married to Marion Lorris Dunlap who preceded her death on October 2, 2012.  She was a housewife most of her life and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie D. Heintz. Mrs. Dunlap is survived by a son Robert “Bob” Allen Dunlap of Statesville; two daughters Susan Ann D. Lee (William) of Chapin, SC and Judith Kay D. Heenan of Phoenix, Az.; a grandson, Rodney Lee; a granddaughter, Beckie Lee Petty (Chris); and two great grandsons, Wil Petty and Casey A. Lee. Per Mrs. Dunlap’s request, there will be no formal services held.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.
