Donna Davidson

Donna Goodman Davidson, 58, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Gordon Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Iredell County to the late Jerry Franklin Goodman and Janice Evon Goodman, who survives. Donna was a graduate of Statesville Sr. High School and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was disability retired from NKG Ceramics where she was a dryer operator. She was a loving mother who helped anyone in need. She loved her animals, working in the garden, and wore her heart on her sleeve. She will be missed by all that knew her. Donna is survived by her daughter, Nikki Davidson of Statesville; two sons, Cody Davidson of California and Justin Davidson of Statesville; two granddaughters, Zoe Haneline and Layla Davidson; and her mother, Janice Goodman. She is further survived by a sister, Michele Joines; a brother, Todd Goodman; and numerous nephews. A memorial service for Donna will be held 5:00 PM, Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Bethany Presbyterian Church with Rev. Frank Stewart officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
