Donald Otis Warren

Donald Otis Warren, 87, of Statesville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Baptist Hospital. He was born January 1, 1932 in Iredell County to the late Ed Warren and Eva Fox Warren. He was also preceded in death by a son; Joseph Warren and 2 sisters; Margie Warren and Roberta W. Brown.
Donald was a veteran of the Navy and was a member of Ham’s Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and was a gentle, humble and honest man who was ready to meet his Lord. He loved his family and was a good husband and father and he loved his church.
On September 20, 1959, he married the former Marlene Smith, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Bradley Warren, a daughter; Beth Warren, a granddaughter; Kayla Reed Smith, and 3 brothers; Hoover, Paul and Robert Warren.
Funeral services for Mr. Warren will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 3:00 at Ham’s Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. James Bumgarner officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 2:45 in the church sanctuary prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
