David Wesley Lytton, 62, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
David was born in Iredell County on January 4, 1957 and was the son of the late Lewis Wesley Lytton and Patricia Josey Lytton. He was a graduate of Statesville High School. David was a member of Monticello Baptist Church.
David, simply put, loved motorcycles. He loved the wind on his face, the rumble of the engine, the smell of the fuel and the untamable power. David loved working on motorcycles and building drag bikes. He was former co-owner/operator of Nitro Shack but was currently employed with STE Powersports.
David also had a side of him that made him the type of friend you want to be around. He loved helping people and David had lots of friends. He also had a love for animals. All this paled in comparison to the love he had for family. David will be missed by all who knew him.
David is survived by his son, Wesley Lytton and his daughter, Crystal Marie Lytton (Brian Fox) and two sisters, Cindy Chapman (Rusty) and Tina Johnson (Scott) and his best friend, Clyde Eller. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Paris Elizabeth and Ethan Charles King. He is further survived by three nephews, Shane Cashion, Cody Chapman and Matthew Johnson and two nieces, Kaylyn Chapman and Stephanie Bason (Aaron). David is also survived by his extended family, his motorcycle family.
A celebration of life honoring the life of David Lytton will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 24 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. The family will visit with friends starting at 1:00 PM prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley Lytton Educational Fund, c\o Cindy Chapman, 137 Gaymont Circle, Statesville, NC 28625.
