David Converse

David "Dave" Converse, 71, of Archdale NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 24th

2024, after a very short but brave fight from Cancer.

Born and raised in Rose NY, David, was the son of the late John Raymond and Olive

Converse. David had resided in the North Carolina area for the last 27 years. David

graduated from North Rose-Wolcott High School, in 1971, and later attended Rochester

Institute of Technology. David worked for Mobile Chemical, in Macedon NY, for several

years before moving to North Carolina, where he retired as Head of Security from

Energizer. David was also in the New York Guard for several years. David loved to hunt

and fish and was a very avid golfer. He had a true love for music and was tapping his

toes to My Girl from his hospital bed just days before his passing. David always had a

way to make anyone feel special and loved. He was always ready with open arms to

hug his family and friends close to his heart. David was very good at telling jokes and

making people laugh. He always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He had an

uncanny knack to extend the sizes of the fish he caught by at least 3 inches or would

add 3 more points to the buck he shot that year with Joe, his hunting buddy. David was

an amazing dad that taught his daughters how to love, how to treat others with kindness

and compassion, and how to not take life too seriously.

David is survived by his long-time partner, Bonnie Lovell, and her son Matt Lovell and

daughter Danielle Hucks and family, his Brother Leon (Mary) Converse, his Sister

Candy (Ray) Currier, his two daughters, Suzanne Converse-Clink and Heather (Eric)

Derby. His grandchildren Cody (Kaylee) Clink, Caitlyn Clink, Caleb Derby, Camryn

Derby, his great Granddaughter Charlotte Clink, along with several nephews and

cousins.

Due to David's request, there are no funeral services. There will be a Celebration of Life

to be held at a later date.
