Darrel Kilpatrick

Mr. Chester Darrel Kilpatrick, 92, of Troutman and formerly of Virginia Beach, VA died June 20, 2011 at the Gordon Hospice House with his loving wife of 66 years by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Cassie Kilpatrick and sister, Cleo Kilpatrick. Surviving are, his wife, Marjorie Godfrey Kilpatrick and several cousins, brother-in-law, Jim Godfrey, sister-in-laws, Lois Godfrey Ostwalt and Mary Ruth Godfrey of Troutman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce during WWII serving 2 � years overseas. He was a faithful member of Western Ave. Baptist Church and was a member of the Fred Lowery Sunday School Class. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Western Ave. Baptist Church with Dr. Skip Cartin and Dr. Ed Yarbrough officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the service and burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery.
