Danny Joe VanTassel

Danny Joe VanTassel, 58, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 10, 2015.  He was born in Alexandria Bay, NY on May 18, 1957 to Robert VanTassel and the late Martha Alton VanTassel. Danny served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was married to Cindy McCreary, who preceded him in death.  He was a contractor for Troutman Associates and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Left to cherish his memory are a son, Troy Pearson (Marie) and a daughter, Danielle Pearson, both of New York State; his father, Robert VanTassel; a grandson, Troy Pearson Jr.; and four granddaughters, Trinity, Anastazia, Sophia, and Maiya Pearson. A Memorial Service for Danny conducted by friends and family will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 683 Old Mountain Road, Statesville, NC.  A service will be held at a later date in New York State.
