Curtis Wayne Dagenhart, 43, of Troutman, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Curtis was born in Iredell County on July 30, 1972, and was the son of Terry Dagenhart and Donna Pestlin Dagenhart. He was a graduate of West Iredell High School. Curtis was a funny man and full of life. He loved to joke around. In his younger days, Curtis loved baseball at which he was a pretty good player. He was somewhat of a shoe collector and had totes full of shoes. He loved riding dirt bikes and motorcycles and never shied away from fishing. He also found life a little easier when he was at the beach. He loved it when he lived there. He was a wiz as a small engine repairman and body work on cars. His favorite food was peanut butter and Mt. Dew. Lastly, he enjoyed drawing and designing tattoos. Those who knew him will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Zackary Dagenhart and Cain Dagenhart and one daughter, Katie Dagenhart (Daniel Fries). He is also survived by three grandsons, Paxton L., Easton J. and Ayden J. Dagenhart and their mother, Hanna Dagenhart, a brother, Chris Dagenhart and two sisters, Missy D. Wilson and Kim Dagenhart and a close family friends, Vestal Williams and Maryann Shreve. Funeral services for Curtis Dagenhart will be conducted at 7:30 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Carrigan officiating.
