Cortney Louise Smith

Cortney Louise Smith, 18, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2016 at her residence. Cortney was born February 25, 1998 in Statesville and was the daughter of Douglas Smith, Jr. and Jennifer Peck Smith. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School and was currently working for Piedmont Health Care. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Emily and Savannah Smith, both of Statesville, three uncles, Jeff Peck (Kelly) of Statesville, Josh Booher of Statesville, TJ Booher of Statesville, one aunt, Rachel Smith of Statesville, maternal grandparents, Patti and Tim Booher of Statesville, paternal grandparents, Kim and Douglas Smith, Sr. of Statesville, 10 cousins, Ela, Olivia and Milo Peck, Ezra and Mason Booher, Noah Booher, Brittany, Justin, Brantley and Abby Smith along with numerous friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
