Clyde Sherman Wolfe

March 16, 1942 — September 21, 2022

Clyde Sherman Wolfe, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. Born on March 16, 1942, in Washington County, Virginia, he was the son of Rosie Wolfe Turner.
Clyde's first job was at a grocery store in Bassett, Virginia where he met his future wife of 62 years, Virginia Carolyn Robertson. His mother, Rosie Turner and his sister, Rebecca Spence both lived in Stuart, Virginia.

Clyde worked in the furniture industry all his life. He was a great provider to his family and his family truly loved him deeply and he will be greatly missed. He enjoyed watching wrestling, Wheel of Fortune, and old Western TV shows. He also enjoyed fishing, classic cars and playing with his dog, Jello.
Clyde had a passion for reading and sharing the Word of God with others. His favorite verse was John 3:16. Even though he had received Jesus Christ as his Savior in his past, he received Jesus Christ as his Savior again on September 12, 2022. For those whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We will meet him again one day.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 62 years, Virginia Wolfe; his mother, Rosie Turner
(age 98) of Stuart, Virginia; four children, Christopher Sherman Wolfe and wife, Sandy, Christy Angela Wolfe, Michael Jeffrey Wolfe and wife, Angela, and Matthew Shannon Wolfe and girlfriend, Tami Fee; his 18 grandchildren, Jessica Wolfe, Christopher Wolfe, Dallas and Sarah Britt, Heather Wolfe, Michael and Becky Wolfe, Aaron Wolfe, Hayley and Wesley White, Andrew and Amber Wolfe, Crystal and Michael Little, Lindsey and Steven Jenkins, Shannon Wolfe and Jonathan Wolfe; 18 great-grandchildren, Milo, Lorelai, Emerson, James, Covi, Ronin, Winter, Kyrie, Jayden, Carter, Michael, Rebekah, Rachel, Emery, Harley, Arabelle, Liliana, and Tiberius; and his sister, Rebecca Spence and husband, Walter of Virginia.

"I am very happy that I had one last chance to sit, talk, laugh and draw with you. One last chance to tell you I love You. One last chance to tell you I'll see you later. We didn't have a lot growing up, but we never missed a meal, and we always had a roof over our heads. You're a great Dad and a great provider. Knowing you received Jesus Christ as your Savior is why I tell you I'll see you later. I love you, Daddy."
Your daughter, Christy Wolfe
