Clyde "Ed" Edward Stroud

Clyde Edward Stroud, 87, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Iredell County on October 6, 1931 to the late Clarence Allen Stroud and Henrietta Boger Stroud.
Ed attended Harmony School and was married in 1952 to Blanche Malcolm Stroud, who survives. They shared over 66 years of marriage before his passing. He was retired from Kewaunee Scientific where he had worked as a supervisor and was a member of Calvary Community Church. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved the Lord and his church. He loved his family and his family will miss him dearly.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Blanche; three sons, Tony Stroud (Debi), Rick Stroud (Tracy), and Todd Stroud (Wendy); ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Stroud (Devonna); and a sister, Jean Swain.
A Private Memorial Service for family and friends will be held at a later date with Pastor Jeff Coley, Pastor Jeff Luxton, and Dr. David Troutman officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
