Claudia (Snow) Beaver

Mrs. Claudia Snow Beaver, 87, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Beaver was born in Iredell County on February 15, 1929, and was the daughter of the late D. Green Snow and Verla Keller Snow.  She attended Statesville city schools and was married to Gaither L. Beaver, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Beaver was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Following her retirement from the textile industry, Claudia was a babysitter for 30 years and those children she loved dearly. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Sally Murdock, John Snow, James Snow and Nina Snow. Left to cherish her memory are three sisters, Aileen Gryder, Sue Wooten, and Faye Snow along with two brothers, Tommy Snow (Pat), all of Statesville and Rudy Snow of Hickory.  A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Claudia Beaver will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2016, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Hawkins officiating along with Rudy Snow.  Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends Thursday evening from 5:30 until 7:30 pm at the funeral home. The family has requested no flowers and if one wishes, make donations to the Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
