Charlotte Simonson

Charlotte Harris Simonson age 80 of Statesville passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born February 8, 1930 to the late Charles and Eva Clinnick Harris In Troy, New York. She married the love of her life, Ted W. Simonson on July 4, 1953. Mrs. Simonson was the bookkeeper for her and her husband's company; Ted's sign's of Statesville and was a member of Grace Alliance Church. In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by four children; Ann Darrow of New Brunswick, Canada, Jill Deal of Connolly Springs, NC, David Simonson and Steven Simonson both of Statesville. She is also survived by 16 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Joyce Labbee and Husband Ralph of Troy, New York and a sister-in-law, June Harris of Albany, New York and 6 nieces and nephews. A celebration of life services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Grace Alliance Church with the Rev. Charles Wall officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:30pm at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Charlotte Simonson Memorial Fund at Grace Alliance Fellowship, 773 Mocksville Highway, Statesville, NC 28625.
