Charles Gilbert New

Charles Gilbert New, age 66, of Thomasville, passed away on February 18, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  Born on November 15, 1957, in Forsyth County, he was the son of James Gilbert New and Catherine Louise Bullard New.  

Charles aka "Charlie" was an avid fan of drawing cars, reading, riding four-wheelers and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Sandy Cox New; and sister, Darlene New.  Left to cherish his memory include his son, Jesse James New (Robyn Harris); daughter, Charlene Louise New (Arthur Perez); his beloved dog who was his most favorite companion, Suzie; grandchildren, Cameron Perez, Darius Perez, Alisha Perez, Hailey New, and Tyler New; great-grandchildren, DJ Perez and Aria Perez; sisters, Sherrie Garris, Jannie Smith (Jimmy Smith), and Jean New; and brothers, Wayne New and Eugene New.
