C.H. Maness

� Carl Houston "C.H." Maness, 86, of Statesville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, September 8, 2013. He was born in Iredell County on August 15, 1927 to the late Carl Samuel and Carrie Bell Campbell Maness. C. H. was a graduate of Cool Springs School and on June 10, 1950, he married Betty Bowlin , who survives. They enjoyed 63 years of marriage. He was a member of Northview Church of Christ where he had served as a deacon. He was self-employed as a dairy farmer and his priorities in life were God, family, and farm. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. C.H. is survived by his wife, Betty B.; two sons, Carl Steven Maness (Donna) and Paul Jeffery Maness (Carolyn); and a daughter, Pamela Jean Maness, all of Statesville. He is further survived by five grandchildren: D.J. Wike (Cristy), Amy R. Wike, Carl Zachary Maness, Carrie Beth Maness, and Chloe Louise Maness; three great grandchildren: Audrey Sharpe, Chace Wike, and Rylan Duncan; and special friends, Ed & Judy Sanford, and Emma Foster. A graveside funeral service will be held on the family farm 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 with Preacher Les Bonnett officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening, September 10, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home.
