Ms. Carolyn Dawn Inman, 63, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at her home. Carolyn was born in the District of Columbia on April 24, 1958 and was the daughter of the late Rufus Edgar and Julia Ellen Swann Inman.
Carolyn was a graduate of Oakton High School in Vianna, VA. She was an avid animal lover and prior to her disability retirement, she worked as a veterinarian assistant.
Carolyn enjoyed life and what it had to offer. It would be nothing for her to “jump” in the car and “venture out” to see just where a road would take her. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and eating what she cooked. Carolyn also enjoyed writing poetry, playing the piano, and studying both Egyptian and Civil War History. But at the end of the day, she found peace when laying by the pool, either with her family, friends, or simply alone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Christina Inman.
Left to cherish the memory of Carolyn is her sister, Charlotte Hendrickson and brother, Paul Inman along with a special friend for 48 years, Linda Whitmore. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Jordan Hendrickson, Taylor Inman and Kara Rutherford and great nieces and nephews Angelica, Christian, Abigail, and Amelia.
A service to honor the life of Carolyn Inman will be announced in the upcoming days.
