Carol (Taylor) Rochinski

January 20, 1941 — July 6, 2016

Mrs. Carol Taylor Rochinski, 75, of Statesville, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Rochinski was born January 20, 1941, in Tarboro, NC and was the daughter of the late James “Wicky” Merton Taylor and Nellie Rogers Taylor.  She was a graduate of Tarboro High School and on November 7, 1964, she married Stanley James Rochinski, Jr. who preceded her in death. She was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Rochinski was employed with the Central Intelligence Agency for 37 where she worked in the National Photographic Interpretation Center (NPIC) and at the time of her retirement, she was the Information Systems Security Manager. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Della Taylor Biddle. Left to cherish the memory of Carol are her son, Steve Rochinski (Kathy) of Marshfield, MA, along with two grandchildren, Anna Rochinski of Brookline, MA, and Alex Rochinski of Brooklyn, NY.  She is also survived by two nieces, Leigh Ann Biddix (Russ) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Teresa Biddle Kennedy (Jeff) of Greensboro, NC.  She is further survived by three grand-nieces, Sarah and Claire Biddix and Kara Richardson. A graveside funeral service honoring the life of Carol Rochinski will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 16, 2016, in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Steve Snipes officiating.  Memorials may be made to Oakland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 5362, Statesville, NC 28625.
