Carl Whaley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl William Whaley, affectionately known to family and friends as Billie. Born on February 13, 1953, in Ohio, Billy departed this world on November 23, 2024, at the age of 71 in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Billy dedicated his career to the commercial industry, working diligently in maintenance. His tireless work ethic and commitment to his craft were hallmarks of his life.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Billy found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman, often found casting a line in peaceful waters. Billy also enjoyed spending time engaging with games on his tablet and solving puzzles in his favorite puzzle books. Above all, he cherished moments spent with his beloved grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Carl Whaley and Lillian King.

Billy's memory will be cherished by his devoted spouse of 38 years, Donna Whaley, his sons Larry Chappell, Patrick Cox, Jerry Chappell (Sarah), Andrew Whaley, Colon, and daughters Margaret Whaley and April Whaley. He is also survived by his sisters Diana Castleberry and Kathy Whaley, 32 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

At this time, no services will be held. The family appreciates your love and support during this difficult time.

Billy's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by all.
