Buford "Dee" Evans

Buford "Dee" Evans, age 72, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his home. Born on March 12, 1951, in Mt. Airy, NC, he was the son of the late Buford Dewey Evans and Vertie Faye Reed.
"Dee" was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was a good provider for his family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his spouse of 46 years, Rita Dale Evans; sons, Adam Dee Evans of Snow Camp, and Rodney "Dale" Evans and wife, Bridgett of Lexington; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Susie Ellis and husband, Ronnie, and Joan Hartline; brothers, Jeff Evans and wife, Donna, and Mackie Evans and wife, Brenda; and his beloved dog, Snoopy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Vertie Evans.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the home and will be announced at a future date.
