Mr. Louis Thomas "Buddy" Daddio, 81, of Statesville, passed away June, 30, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Daddio was born September 19, 1930 in Queens, New York and was the son of the late Lawrence T. and Adele Cleary Daddio. He graduated from high school in New York and was of the Catholic Faith. Mr. Daddio was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. Before his retirement, he was a truck driver for A & R Materials. He was married to Helen Fichtner Daddio who survives. In addition to his wife Helen Daddio of the home, he is also survived by three daughters, Barbara D. Lupo (Mario) of Farmingville, NY, Deborah D. Varrone (Peter) of Cumming, GA and Donna Daddio of Statesville along with three sons, Thomas Daddio of Statesville, Michael Daddio of Astoria, NY and Robert Daddio (Jessica) of Miami, FL. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, Peter Varrone (Tracey), Jesse, Dylan, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Samantha and Amanda Daddio, Michelle Satterley (Dan), Christine, Danielle and Gina Lupo, Melissa Siwik (Joe) Bruno Mirabella and Michele Mitsumori. He is further survived by seven great-grandchildren, Cole and Jillian Satterley, Jose, Mario, and Giovanni Lupo-Torres and Isabella and Gianna Varrone. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Buddy Daddio will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Father Kurt Fohn officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in New York. The family will visit with friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association,
