� Peggy Ann Troutman Elliott, 76, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Brian Center in Statesville. Mrs. Elliott was born June 30, 1936 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Jason Troutman and Lucille Alexander Troutman. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkle High School and on September 17, 1953, she married Virgil Ross "Bud" Elliott, who survives. Mrs. Elliott spent her life doing what she loved. She was a dedicated homemaker, but most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who loved spending time with her family and spending time at the beach. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her dearly. In addition to her husband of 59 years, Bud Elliott, Mrs. Elliott is survived by two sons, Robert Ross Elliott and his wife Jane and Roger Eugene Elliott and his wife Debbie along with one daughter, Donna Elliott Lyons and her husband John. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Jet, Ashley and Bobby Jane Elliott, Johnny Lyons III and wife Rachel, Cassandra Cruz and husband Miguel and Joshua Lyons, Anna Jones and husband John along with Crystal Barnes and husband Eric. She is further survived by eight great-grandchildren and one brother, Lonnie Troutman, of Statesville. Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. J.B. Parker officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 until 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Mrs. Elliott's honor to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625. Mr. Virgil Ross "Bud" Elliott, 79, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Elliott was born in Catawba County on January 8, 1934 and was the son of the late Bradford Ross Elliott and Mary Ida Parker Elliott. He was a graduate of Sherrill's Ford High School and on September 17, 1953 he married Peggy Ann Troutman Elliott, who preceded him in death on June 28, 2013. Mr. Elliott was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and he was formerly employed with Thonet Industries where he worked for 29 years as a supervisor. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Elliott was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Elliott Gregory and Nig Elliott Clayton. He is survived by two sons, Robert Ross Elliott (Jane) and Roger Eugene Elliott (Deborah) along with one daughter, Donna Elliott Lyons (John). He is also survived by five granddaughters, Bobbie Jane Elliott, Ashley Elliott, Anna Marie Elliott Jones (John), Crystal Renea Barnes (Eric) and Cassandra Cruz (Miguel). He is further survived by three grandsons, Jet Elliott, Johnny Lyons, III (Rachel) and Joshua Lyons along with eight great grandchildren.
