Bruce Carlton Huggins

Bruce Carlton Huggins, 63, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House.  He was born in Gaston County on September 11, 1952 to the late Marvin L. and Pauline Edmonds Huggins. Bruce was disability retired from Estes Motor Lines where he had worked as a dockworker.  Prior to that he built and sold classic cars.  He was well known for the classic cars that he worked on.  Bruce loved cars and had a passion for fishing.  He was a good friend and will be missed. Left to cherish his memory are five sons, Bruce Jr., Bobby, Ray, Jessie, and Logan; six grandchildren; four brothers, Larry (Sandy), James, Mike, and Ronnie; a sister, Shirley; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Haizlip officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:00 pm.
