Brandi Staples

Miss Brandi DeNette Staples, 32, of Charlotte, died unexpectedly Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at her home. She was born May 29, 1978 in Statesville and was the daughter of B. Steven (Steve) and Diane Ollis Staples. Brandi was a graduate of West Iredell High School and CVCC in Hickory. She was self employed as a personal stylist at Salon on 5 in Charlotte. After attending CVCC for Business Administration, Brandi enrolled at the Hairstylist Academy in Statesville, NC. She began her career in 1998 and moved to Charlotte to train with Norman Russell Salon and Spa assisting some of the best hairstylists in Charlotte. Since then she has had the opportunity to work with not only industry greats but highly publicized celebrity stylists and also became an accredited member of the Keune and Brazilian Rejuvenol companies. She was Presbyterian by faith and enjoyed singing and had a beautiful voice. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Burrell and Callie Staples and her maternal grandparents, Glenn and Frances Ollis. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Shane Staples and wife, Jennifer niece, Evie Staples, nephew, Braeden Staples all of Statesville. Brandi is also survived by a special friend, Shane Coley of Mooresville and several aunts, uncles and cousins from Statesville. Last but not least was her dog, Caine, who was her full time protector and companion. Her electrifying smile and zest for life will be sorely missed by all who knew her, especially her family whom she loved very much and cherished. A celebration of life service for Brandi will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Lay Speaker Lonnie Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to My Sisters House, P.O.
