Bonnie Reece, age 76, of Winston Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at her home. She was born on April 14, 1946, in Forsyth County, and was the daughter of the late Walter and Grace Pyrtle.
Bonnie was a woman of strong Faith. She was a member of Wallburg Baptist Church and loved her church family along with her Pastor, Brandon Wolfe. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family.
In addition to her parents, Walter and Grace Pyrtle, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman, Leonard, Harvey, James, Larry and Richard Pyrtle; and her grandchildren, Joshua Paul Reece and Judah Reece.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Clyde Lynn Reece; her children, Kim Reece Carver (Joseph D. Carver, Jr.), Tammy Reece Taylor (Christopher William Taylor), and Christopher Lee "Chris" Reece (Angela Michelle Reece); grandchildren, Heather Fincher Dixon (William), James Edward Lynn Fincher (Rachel), Amanda Fincher Copley, Jordan Grace Taylor, Brooke Mackenzie Taylor, Elijah Christopher Reece, Caleb Levi Reece, and Diana Bjorkman; great grandchildren, Tyler Logan, Trenton Dixon, Kayla Fincher, James Fincher, Brantley Fincher, Violet Fincher, Amelia Fincher, Mackenzie Copley, Aubrey Copley, Joey Bjorkman and her sister, Betty Edwards and several special nieces and nephews; also her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Van and Donna Reece, who were her compassionate caregivers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Wallburg Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Wolfe officiating.
