Bobby Snider

Bobby Snider, 81, of Statesville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Mobile, Alabama on May 3, 1935, he was a son of the late Omer and Bonnie Snider. He was a pipeline construction foreman. He was a lover of the Lord, family and friends. He loved to entertain all with stories of his life adventures. For him, family did not stop at blood and everyone he met was his neighbor. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. He was preceded in death by a son, James Snider and a brother, Junior. Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy Gieslar and they were married over 50 years, sons, Darrell Snider, (Teresa), and Timothy Snider (Delta) and daughters, Terrie Levan and Kathi McReynolds(Steven). Also surviving are a brother, Donald Snider and a sister, Ruth Roan along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Additionally, a daughter-in-law survives, Mary Burns. Services celebrating Bobby’s life will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at South River Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Thompson officiating.
