Mr. Robert "Bobby" Lee Feimster, 85, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Feimster was born June 10, 1928 in Iredell County and was the son of the late G. Glenn Feimster and Carrie Bradford Feimster. He attended Scotts High School and played baseball in the city/county leagues for years. He was married to Mary Lois Morrow, who survives of the home and they were both members of Concord Presbyterian Church, Loray, NC. Mr. Feimster was retired as a Sergeant from the NC Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement Section. He was a charter member of the Scotts Ruritan Club and was an amateur Ham Radio Operator. He also was an avid gardener and especially loved growing roses. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by two sons, Randy Feimster (Martha) of Scotts, Tim Feimster (Celeste) of Scotts, two grandsons, Randall Feimster (Patty) of Greenville, NC, Will Feimster of Montreat, NC and two great grandchildren, Colton and Kyla Feimster, both of Greenville, NC. Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 in the Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kyle Goodman and Rev. Chris Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. Active pallbearers will be Dale Morrow, Craig Morrow, Ted Morrow, Ashley Morrow, Bobby Morrow, Jeff Templeton and Barry Templeton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, Concord Presbyterian Church or to New Amity ARP Church.
