Bobby Arnold Blakely

Bobby Arnold Blakely, age 93, of Lexington, passed away on January 31, 2024, at Thomasville Medical Center.  Born on July 5, 1930 in Guilford County, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Bridges Blakely and Hattie Pearl Welborn Blakely.

Mr. Blakely was a member of New Life Baptist Church in High Point. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He loved bowling, animals and walking and dancing.  He also had an enjoyment for drawing and was a huge NASCAR fan. 

In addition to his parents, Thomas Bridges and Hattie Pearl Blakely, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Woods, Betty Eads, and Fern Welborn; his brothers, Tim Welborn and Billy Blakely; and grandson, Jason Chad Blakely.  Left to cherish his memory, include his children, Bobby Arnold Blakely, Jr. (Vicki), David Wayne Blakely (Tanya), and Patricia Lynn Scarbrough (Ed);  grandchildren, Chris Blakely, Amy Blakely Hollar (Ricky), April Blakely Ingram (Mark), Brandon Blakely (Meghan), Brent Blakely, Michelle Marion (Ken), and Shana Coe (Josh); great-grandchildren, Lauryn Hollar, Morgan Hollar, Landon Hollar, Brittany Blakely (Chase), Chelsea Simmons (Johnny), Blakely Lambeth (Zane), Brinley Ingram, Riley Coe, Remington Coe, Charlie Blakely, Sammy Blakely, Harper Blakely, Mackenzie Davis, and Meredith Gray; and great-great grandchildren, Torrie, Christian, Leyland, and Eryn.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at New Life Baptist Church in High Point, NC.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
