Barbara Byrd Pharr

Barbara Byrd Pharr, 85, of Statesville, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with husband on January 14, 2020 at Gordon Hospice House.
She was born in Iredell County on January 8, 1935 to the late Odell and Cora Bell Byrd. Barbara was a graduate of Statesville Senior High in 1953. She married her beloved husband, Rev. William “Bill” Charles Pharr and they had 63 years together before his passing on November 15, 2016. She had different jobs but her most important was being a preacher’s wife.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicky Lynn Pharr; granddaughter, Jennifer Rampey; great-grandchildren, Jessica Lee Minton and Drey Lynn Ball; great-great-granddaughter, Mia Ball; sister, Shirley (Robert) Mcree and many other loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Barbara’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 12pm in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Pharr officiating. Burial will be held at 2pm at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will gather and receive friends from 11am-12pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
