Barbara Bayne Jonhson

Barbara Bayne Johnson, age 82, of Statesville, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021 at Gordon Hospice House. Born on September 3, 1939 in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Butler and Sue Phillips Butler.

Barbara was a woman who loved to travel and enjoyed motorcylces. She was a member of Living Word Ministries in Statesville and a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Mooresville.

In addition to her parents, Kenneth and Sue Phillips Butler, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lydia Vinsk. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Richelle “Shelley” Overcash; her grandson, Dustin Overcash; her sisters, Linda Barnum and her husband, Jim and Bonni Bayne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home.
