Arthur Clay Grant

Arthur Clay Grant, 62, of Harmony, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House.  He was born in Iredell County on September 17, 1953 to the late Thomas Luther and Ruth Gentle Grant. Arthur was a graduate of North Iredell High School and was a member of Winthrop Friends Meeting.  He was married on April 18, 1998 to Donna Bustle Grant, who survives.  They had almost 18 years of marriage before his passing.  He had worked at Lowes Distribution as a warehouse associate.  Arthur was a volunteer fireman with the Union Grove Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Board of Directors.  He was a big man with a big heart who will be missed by all that knew him. Left to cherish his memory, are his wife, Donna; a son, Fred Lee Grant (Jennifer); a grandson, Xane Lee Grant; a granddaughter, Zoey Ray Grant; two sisters, Shelby Houchins and Brenda Mangan; a brother, Alec Grant (Wanda); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends. Funeral services for Mr. Grant will be held 3:30 pm Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Winthrop Friends Meeting with Pastor Harold Salmons officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 2:30 until 3:30 pm.
