Annie Hudspeth Cook

Mrs. Annie Hudspeth Cook, 98, of Statesville, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Yadkin County on November 15, 1916, she was a daughter of the late John Lee Hudspeth and Pearl Tucker Hudspeth. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook, brothers, Paul and Charles Hudspeth and sisters, Etta Walls and Hazel Hudspeth. Annie was a loving and caring person who loved her church and she enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include brothers, Bill and Hugh Hudspeth, both of Statesville, sisters, Shirley Brown of Boonville, Jane Perkins of Welcome and Fannie Polizzotto of Garfield, N.J., along with several nieces and nephews. Services celebrating Annie’s life will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday at Nicholson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Spry and Rev. Andy Lackey officiating. Entombment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Condolences may be sent online to the family to www.nicholsonfunerals.com .
