Annie Lois (Cates) Miller

Annie Lois Cates Miller, 88, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. Lois was born April 25, 1929 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late John Ivy Cates and Ida Hoover Cates. She was a graduate of Celeste-Henkel School and was a member of Mt. Herman Lutheran Church. She worked for and retired from Bell South Company. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by one son, Keith Miller and seven siblings. She is survived by two sisters, Reba Josey of Statesville, Doris Thomas of Jupiter, FL; numerous nieces and nephews and several cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Mt. Herman Lutheran Church with Rev. Will Dulin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Mt. Herman Lutheran Church or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
