Amy Lynn Austin-Kinler, age 53, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Born on February 14, 1970, in Marion, OH, she was the daughter of Michael Dardinger and Judith Clark Coats.
Amy was a stubborn ray of sunshine who had a passion for crafting and was described by her family as the “crazy cat lady” even though she would say differently because she had only five cats. She was very supportive of Organ Procurement. The thing she cherished most in her life was being a “Mamie” to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Clark Coats and her stepfather, Danny Austin. Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 24 years, Timothy Kinler; her daughter, Elyssa Harvey and husband Courtney; grandchildren, Summer, Liam, Alexander, and Walter; father Michael Dardinger; brothers, Michael Dardinger and wife, Norma, and John Dardinger and wife, Debbie; seven nieces and nephews; her in-laws, Lisa and Henry “Sonny” Kinler, and Bill and Julia Toomey; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ryan and Tonya Kinler, Benjamin Toomey, and Dan and Karen Toomey.
To honor Amy’s wishes, no services will be scheduled at this time. Nicholson Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
