Amber York Holifield

Amber York Holifield, 38, of Newton passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous 7-year battle with cancer, on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
She was born December 20, 1980 to the late Paul Dennis Ladd and Ronda Lynne York. She was also preceded in death by her sister; Bridget Regina York.
Amber graduated from West Iredell High School and was an Independent Consultant with Paparazzi Jewelry. She was a very independent and selfless person. She loved making people happy and spending time with her family and friends. Amber loved the beach and Kenny Chesney music. Her passion was her Paparazzi Jewelry, and the people she met through this helped her through this battle. When her health struggles were at their worst, and the doctors gave her little hope, her favorite quote was “See you in the morning” which was given with a wink and a smile.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband and soulmate, Aaron Holifield, whom she married on December 19, 2010. They were and always will be known as “The A-Team”. Also surviving are her sister, Brandy Lynne York Troutman (Matt), 2 step-sons; Jaiden and Corbin Holifield, her “bestest” friend Lisa Cox (Tony), her fur baby, Bella, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services celebrating Amber’s life will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 4:00pm in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jody York officiating. Visitation will be held following the service.
