Mr. Alfredo Enrique Maulini, 82, of Statesville, died Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Havana, Cuba on February 18, 1936, he was a son of he late Alfredo Clemente Maulini and Caridad Maulini Codina. On October 24, 1964, he married Andrea Schmidt Maulini who survives.
Mr. Maulini was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Clarendon Hills, Ill. He was employed with Borg-Warner International and his last position was as a distributor and sales representative of wholesale children’s clothing. He attended the University of Havana and DePaul University. He came from Cuba to the U.S. in 1961 at the age of 25. He became a U. S. citizen in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea, a son, Antonio Maulini of Hevlock, N.C. and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricardo Maulini.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Nicholson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kessler officiating.
