Albert "Pop" Theodore Bowman

Albert “Pop” Theodore Bowman, 81, of Statesville, passed away, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Albert was born September 14, 1935 in Iredell County to the late Theodore Bowman and Florence Lance Bowman. He attended Iredell County schools and on December 19, 1959, he married Mary Peacock Bowman, who survives. He was retired from Southern Screw Company and was a former member of South River Baptist Church. He enjoyed mowing grass and especially loved spending time with his three grandsons. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by one son, Mike Bowman and wife, Shelley of Statesville, three grandsons, Jacob Bowman, Noah Bowman, Cooper Bowman and one sister, Virginia B. Wilson of Statesville. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Lepley and Rev. Paul Hill officiating. The body will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday afternoon. The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery.
