Aileen Harris Tulbert, 76, of Harmony, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016, at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Tulbert was born in Wilkes County on March 26, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Vander and Brady Myers Harris. She attended Wilkes County schools and on May 2, 1971, she married Thomas Tulbert, who died in 2012. Mrs. Tulbert was a truck driver along with her husband and together they made many trips to the West Coast. Following her retirement, she went to work with the Burger Barn in Union Grove as a cook. She enjoyed cooking, being with her kids and loved the outdoors and particularly, the mountains. Left to cherish her memory is one daughter, Samantha Watkins (Jerry) of Harmony, a son, Scotty Bracken (Debbie) of Mocksville, step-daughter, Christa Myers of Hamptonville, and step-son, Joe Tulbert (Shelia) of Mocksville. She is also survived by two sisters, Doris Eudy of Mooresville and Jean Sprinkle of Winston-Salem and two brothers, Robert Harris (Boots) of Mooresville and David Harris (Cathy) of Winston-Salem along with five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2016, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Graham officiating.
